Lion Country Safari
Lion Country Safari is committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming and accessible experience for all guests. As a Certified Autism Center™, the park has taken meaningful steps to ensure that individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities and other accessibility needs can enjoy a comfortable and memorable visit.
One of Lion Country Safari’s most unique accessibility features is its drive-through safari experience, which allows guests to explore hundreds of animals from the comfort and familiarity of their own vehicle. This environment can be especially beneficial for individuals who may experience sensory sensitivities or prefer a more controlled setting. Throughout The Gardens, accessible pathways and viewing areas help ensure guests can comfortably experience animal habitats, attractions and educational opportunities.
To support advance planning, Lion Country Safari provides accessibility information and sensory resources to help families prepare for their visit. Noise cancelling headphones are available in sensory first aid kits upon request. Manual wheelchairs are available for rent, and accessible viewing windows can be found at several animal exhibits, including flamingos, squirrel monkeys, reptiles, sloths and porcupines. Service animals are accommodated in designated areas in accordance with park policies.
In addition to physical accessibility accommodations, Lion Country Safari staff have received specialized training to better support and serve guests with autism and other sensory needs. The park is dedicated to creating an environment where every guest feels welcome, supported and empowered to enjoy meaningful wildlife experiences.
