Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces

Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces (PROS) is one of the largest and most diverse park systems in the United States, spanning more than 30,000 acres across over 280 parks, marinas, golf courses, nature centers, campgrounds, and recreational facilities throughout Miami-Dade County.

As a Certified Autism Center™, Miami-Dade County Parks is committed to creating welcoming, inclusive, and sensory-considerate experiences for individuals with autism and other sensory sensitivities. Frontline staff throughout the park system have completed specialized training in sensory awareness, communication strategies, and inclusive guest engagement to better support visitors of all abilities.

Our system offers a wide variety of outdoor and recreational experiences, including beaches, walking trails, adaptive programs, playgrounds, cultural events, summer camps, after-school programs, and community festivals. Many of our parks provide open green spaces that allow families to explore at their own pace in calming, natural environments.

Through ongoing staff training and strategic partnerships, Miami-Dade County Parks continues to expand inclusive programming and resources to ensure all residents and visitors can enjoy our parks safely, comfortably, and confidently.

We are proud to serve families of all abilities and to provide meaningful recreational opportunities that promote wellness, connection, and community engagement.
