Michigan Legacy Art Park
The mission of the Michigan Legacy Art Park (the Art Park) is to inspire awareness, appreciation and passion for Michigan’s stories, culture, and environment through the arts. Since opening in 1995 the Art Park completes this mission through the operation of a 31-acre forested, public, sculpture garden in Thompsonville, Michigan, located within the Crystal Mountain resort.
The Art Park has over 50 sculptures in the permanent collection; carved poetry stones with verse that respect the natural setting; an amphitheater for concerts and events; a ¼ mile accessible outdoor trail and 2 mile natural trail; and a Discovery Grove area for student and family activities and programs. Over 20,000 visitors are served annually.
Our GPS address is 7300 Mountainside Drive, Thompsonville, Michigan. From M115, turn into the Crystal Mountain resort, and follow Crystal Mountain Drive to Mountain Center Drive.
