Six Flags: Great Adventure

Six Flags Great Adventure and Safari, the World’s Ultimate Thrill Park, offers fun for all ages. It features 16 attractions for kids including two areas devoted entirely to the little ones plus family rides throughout the 510-acre property. Known for record-breaking rides like Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom, the theme park offers award-winning coasters like El Toro and Nitro, and the new Jersey Devil Coaster, the world’s tallest, fastest and longest single-rail coaster, opening in 2020. The park also boasts a one-of-a-kind, 350-acre Safari Off-Road Adventure – an entertaining and informative guided truck tour on giant, open-air, military-style vehicles. Guests can venture through more than 1,200 animals from six continents, and stop mid-way through the tour at Camp Aventura to hand-feed giraffes and see some of the park’s smaller exotic animals up close. The safari is included with theme park admission and boards in the Frontier Adventures section. Nearby in the Golden Kingdom section, guests can stroll the Wild Walkway to see playful California sea lions, great horned owls, athletic cheetahs (a new addition for 2020), and more. Six Flags Great Adventure also offers a wide variety of dining options from Chinese and hand-rolled sushi to BBQ, Mexican, Italian, and Greek as well as gluten-free, Kosher, Halal, and vegetarian options. The park features full special events scheduled throughout the entire season, including a Comic Fest, wrestling festival, Autism Day, food, beer, and wine events, educational programs, patriotic festivals, it’s signature Fright Fest through September and October, followed by Holiday in the Park in November and December.
