The George Observatory
The George Observatory, located about one hour’s drive south of Houston within scenic Brazos Bend State Park, is a satellite facility of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Reservations are available Tuesday-Friday during the daytime. The George Observatory is open to the public Friday through Sunday. Please note that Brazos Bend State Park entrance fees apply.
The Observatory houses three domed telescopes, a Challenger Learning Center for Space Science Education, and a meteorite exhibit featuring fragments of several famous meteorites!
