We travel as a family a lot and our experience in Peru was one of the best trips ever. The country is beautiful and Juve’s team did a phenomenal job of putting everything together. We have four kids ages 7, 9,16 and 18…no one was ever bored and our tour guide Frank was very knowledgeable and engaging. I would highly recommend using Juve Travel. Machu Picchu with Juve

They had put together the perfect tour for us as im a Photographer. Juve took care of all the arrangements in Peru, everything was taken care of. Juve is an amazing guide, he sizes you up real quick as to how you would like to hike and what is important to you, he has a great personality and a ton of knowledge about the history of his people the Inca. I might go back with a group of Photographers and will choose him again if we go. I have some incredible images to prove that I was there. – Rudolf & Carla Klassen

Meet Juve

My name is Juvenal Iturriaga and I was born in the Yanahuara community in Urubamba. I spent the first years of my life with my family growing our own food like corn, potatoes and some vegetables.

In order to continue school, I left my community and went by myself to Urubamba to secondary school. Where I worked as a porter, it was hard work carrying 45 to 50 kilos on my back with a poor salary.

I saw that I did not want to spend my life as a porter so I moved to Cusco to keep studying to become a tour guide. My dream finally came true and a small farmer boy from the Highlands managed to become a real Peruvian tour guide.

I have been working as a tour guide since 2003 and during that time I learned a lot. I learned that most tour companies are run by foreigners and most of the earnings leave the country with next to nothing remaining to help local people and develop the country. I decided that I wanted to start my own company so I can help my people. This is what drives me. I will never forget my roots and I want to actively contribute to improving their life.
