Carl Chavis YMCA

Like the National Y, Carl Chavis YMCA’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The Carl Chavis Memorial Branch YMCA is named for the first African-American from High Point who lost his life in battle during World War II. The Carl Chavis YMCA is committed to providing the highest quality fitness programs available. It offers state-of-the-art equipment and a comprehensive approach to improving and maintaining the physical well-being. It also offers a full range of activities and programs designed to meet individuals at every level!

The Carl Chavis YMCA is ready to welcome autistic guests and serve them through its inclusive programs with many exciting amenities, including a splash pad, which is open to guests and open from May to September.
